Groupola.com will feature a deal in each
of the 64 cities it is launching in. If enough
people commit to the deal, the company
offering it will honour the deal, which will
be anything from 50% to 90% off full price.
The website is offering discounts to people
in eight cities across the UK - London,
Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester,
Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
Brighton deals in the pipeline
include money off laser eye
surgery with Optimax, money
off at Podereleolle, and savings
on restaurants and spa and
beauty treatments.
The website is the brainchild
of retail expert Mark Pearson,

"Sitting on the bus with a
ticket in their hand allows for
a time of private examination
of the message on the back of
the ticket which can be slipped
into a pocket or bag. This deals
simply and easily with the
issues of how to find the help
they need but not be observed
doing it. No-one needs to know.
"Young people are bombarded
with adverts and messages on
a huge range of products and
ideas all day long, making the
job of getting through to them
on serious issues a big chal-
lenge," said Ms Burbidge.
"But with bus ticket adver-
tising, it has been proved that
it is possible to break through
this wall of information so
that people are able to absorb
messages that could make a
huge difference to their future

East Sussex company Tick-
etmedia has been working
with the NHS on a number of
initiatives, including quitting
smoking and awareness of sex-
ually transmitted diseases.
By printing simple messages
on the reverse of bus tickets,
the company has also collabo-
rated with almost 500 councils
across the UK to communicate
essential messages to vulner-
able sectors of the community
on issues such as domestic
violence, help with addic-
tions or changes in the benefits
system.
Ticketmedia says that council
and NHS initiated campaigns
have resulted in a notable
increase in service usage.
"One of the most crucial
aspects of communicating
with young people on sensitive
issues is privacy," said Tick-
etmedia's marketing director
truly integrated "in box" mobile voice recording solution.
Unlike other call recording products, ComputerTel's call
recording system shares a core hardware platform with Obsid-
ian's technology, so that the Obsidian mobile interface gateway
plugs straight into the ComputerTel server, without the need for
a separate interface.
Commenting on the partnership, Dave Brown, chief operating
officer of Obsidian Wireless, said: "Our two technologies are
totally compatible and form a fully integrated combined solu-
tion which offers a more seamless and resilient option for the
customer.
"ComputerTel will also be acting as sales partner, to take
mobile compliance suite into new and existing client opportu-
nities within their specialist fields."
Philip Haynes, managing director of ComputerTel, which is
based in Kent, added: "The addition of the Obsidian mobile
recording as an integrated module of our recording solu-
tion allows us to provide complete cover of a company's total
recording requirements. To further enhance the mobile voice
and SMS recording the mobile compliance suite covers all
messaging and voice communications."
ComputerTel's clients range from call centres to banking, local
government and emergency services.
